getting there and visa stuff
yaar delhi se tashkent pahunchne ka best way flights hi hai. maine indigo se delhi-tashkent one way 18k INR mein book kiya round trip 32k tha total. mumbai se bhi same, air astana ya flydubai pe 20k-25k one way. air astana thoda fancy tha, free meals mile but indigo safe aur cheap. 4-5 hours ki flight, direct ya astana via.
visa ka scene easy peasy bhai. uzbekistan e-visa online apply karo uzbekistan.travel pe. 20 USD (around 1700 INR) lagta hai, 3 days mein mail aa jata. passport scan, photo upload, done. indian passport pe 30 days free visa on arrival bhi milta but e-visa better no queue.
airport tashkent mein landing smooth, immigration fast tha 20 min mein clear. but yaar baggage claim mein 45 min wait kiya, crowd bahut. taxi outside 5k UZS (50 INR) fixed rate city center tak, uber nahi chalta abhi. delhi jaate time check-in mein extra baggage 2k INR diya 20kg ke liye. overall hassle free, bro agar pehli baar central asia to chill reh. flights monsoon avoid karna, oct-nov best. total words yaha 200+ ho gaye, padh liya na? next section!
where i stayed
tashkent mein 3 nights grand ishlon hotel, 2500 INR/night agoda pe book kiya. room clean tha ac working, wifi slow but free breakfast decent – bread, eggs, chai. staff uzbek the polite but english zero, google translate se baat hui. location metro ke paas mast, lekin shower pressure kam tha yaar, irritating.
phir samarkand 3 nights malika prime, 2200 INR/night. arre wah central location registan 5 min walk! room spacious balcony wala, bed comfy but pillows flat suck. staff super friendly, ek bhai ne free chai di raat ko. ac thanda, clean sheets daily change. value for money bro.
bukhara last 3 nights amir temur hotel, 2000 INR/night. old city vibe but room thoda dated – walls peel ho rahe, bathroom damp. staff helpful maps diye, breakfast boring same roti type. location ichan kala gate pe perfect. total hotels 20k INR kharcha.
kya suck kiya? wifi everywhere patchy, power cuts bukhar mein 1-2 ghante. staff mostly smiley but lazy check-out pe. budget travelers ke liye 2k/night safe, luxury mat sochna. airbnb try next time maybe cheaper. rehne layak sab, no regrets!
food and what to eat
bhai uzbek food heavy aur tasty, indian stomach ko suit karega mostly. plov unka biryani hai – rice, mutton, carrots zirishka restaurant tashkent mein 150 INR plate. full belly bhar jaye yaar!
shashlik skewers must – mutton/chicken 100 INR ek, street pe national food street tashkent best 50-80 INR. lagman noodles spicy beef wala 120 INR slurpy fun. samsa pastry meat/pumpkin stuffed 30 INR ek, chai ke saath perfect snack.
street food everywhere cheap, chaikhana local tea houses mein 50 INR meal. restaurants jaise platan tashkent swanky 500 INR dinner course. samarkand mein bibikhano soup try kiya 80 INR veg option bhi.
kya sick kiya? bukhar mein shady stall se shashlik khaya, next day loose motions 2 din. rule no.1: busy stalls hi, bottled water only. best meal? registan ke paas plov uni – authentic lamb plov 200 INR, melt in mouth yaar emotional ho gaya!
indian twist: masala nahi but cumin garlic same. halal sab, veg samsa lekin limited. total food 8k INR 10 days, daily 800 easy. non-veg lovers heaven bro!
