Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 22 May 2026.

PunyaPaths (punyapaths.com) is a personal travel blog operated by Jeetmal Kumawat. I want to be completely transparent about how this site is funded.

Yes, I use affiliate links

Some of the outbound links on PunyaPaths are affiliate links. This means if you click one of those links and then make a purchase, book a hotel, or buy a service on the destination website, I may earn a small commission. The commission is paid by the merchant, not added to your price. You pay exactly what you would have paid if you went to the merchant directly.

Who I work with

The main affiliate programs I use are:

  • Booking.com — for hotel and accommodation links
  • Aviasales — for flight comparison and bookings
  • Occasionally other travel-adjacent merchants (SIM cards, tours, equipment) when I’ve actually used them and would recommend them

I do not have paid partnerships with hotels, restaurants, attractions, or tour operators that I write about. The places I name in my guides are places I actually went, paid for myself, and have an opinion about.

How affiliate links affect my writing

They don’t. Specifically:

  • I do not write a guide because I expect affiliate commission from it.
  • I do not recommend a hotel, flight route, or service because it pays better.
  • If something was bad, I tell you it was bad — even if there’s an affiliate link to it on the same page.
  • I do not accept payment for placement, sponsored posts, or “featured” mentions.

The affiliate income from this site is small and irregular. It helps cover hosting, domain, and the cost of my next trip. It is not enough to compromise my independence over.

How to identify affiliate links

I mark affiliate links clearly at the bottom of any post where they appear, with a line that reads “Affiliate links” or similar. The most common spot is the “Plan your trip” box near the end of country guides.

If you’d like to support the site at no cost to yourself, you can book hotels through the Booking.com link or search flights through the Aviasales link on any guide. If you’d rather not, just open Booking.com or any flight search directly — that’s completely fine, and the information on this site is free either way.

Amazon Associates

If at any point I add product recommendations (gear, books, etc.) those may be Amazon affiliate links. The same rules apply: I only link to things I actually use or have used, the price you pay is unchanged, and recommendations are based on my own experience.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you’d like to know whether a specific link on a specific page is affiliate or not, email info@punyapaths.com. I’ll tell you the truth.

Thanks for reading PunyaPaths. Your trust matters more to me than commission.
