Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 May 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how PunyaPaths (punyapaths.com), operated by Jeetu Kumawat from Bhilwara, Rajasthan, India, collects, uses, and protects information from visitors and readers. By using this site you agree to this policy.
Information I collect
Information you give me directly. When you leave a comment, send me email, or subscribe to a newsletter, you may share your name, email address, website URL, and any content you write to me. I store only what you submit.
Information collected automatically. When you visit any page, third-party services on this site (and standard server logs) may collect technical information including: IP address, approximate location (city/country), browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on pages. This data is used to understand how the site is used and to keep it running.
Cookies
This site uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — for three purposes:
- Functional cookies needed for the site to work (e.g. remembering you accepted the cookie banner).
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics so I can see which guides are read and on what devices.
- Advertising cookies set by Google AdSense and its partners to show relevant ads and measure ad performance.
You can refuse or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Refusing cookies may make some parts of the site work differently but will not block you from reading any article.
Third-party services I use
- Google Analytics — anonymous traffic measurement. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
- Google AdSense — serves ads on pages. AdSense uses cookies, including the DART cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Google Search Console / Site Kit — performance reporting on how the site appears in Google Search.
- Booking.com and Aviasales — affiliate networks. If you click an outbound affiliate link, the destination site (Booking.com, Aviasales, etc.) may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Web hosting and CDN — my hosting provider stores server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to operate and secure the site.
I do not control how these third parties handle the data they collect. Please read their own privacy policies before using this site if you have concerns.
How I use the information
- To publish your comment (only the parts you submitted)
- To reply to your emails and messages
- To understand which guides are useful and which need improvement
- To detect and prevent spam, abuse, and security threats
- To comply with legal obligations
I do not sell your information to anyone. I do not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the PunyaPaths newsletter, your email address is used only to send you the newsletter and is stored in the newsletter provider’s system. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email.

Data retention
Comments and any contact emails are retained indefinitely so I can refer back to them when responding to follow-up questions. Server logs and analytics data are retained for the standard periods set by Google Analytics (typically 14 months).
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect this site, including SSL/HTTPS encryption on all pages, regular software updates, and strong passwords. However, no website can guarantee complete security, and you use this site at your own risk.
