how i reached badrinath on literally zero planning

Posted on May 12, 2026May 12, 2026 by punyapaths

so this happened. this is my story. and it needs to be told. cause honestly? nobody talks about the REAL parts of pilgrimage.

chanced upon badrinath during monsoon season. everyone i asked was like ‘are u crazy? landslides hote hain’. but something in my gut said go. so i went. the highway from rishikesh is INSANE. one side mountain, other side nothing. literally nothing. the driver was playing super loud bollywood songs and honking at every turn. i was gripping my seat the whole time. but then we entered the valley and the clouds were literally below us. like we were above the clouds. i have never seen anything like it. reached badrinath temple and the energy was unreal. thousands of people but somehow it felt peaceful. the priest did a quick darshan and said ‘jaldi karo, rain aa rahi hai’. lol even god waits for the weather i guess

(not all pics are mine, some from pexels — thanks yall)
