Thailand: Bangkok street food guide

Posted on May 10, 2026 by punyapaths

thailand is stupid cheap for what you get. amazing street food for 50 baht. massages for 200 baht. accommodation for 500 baht a night. your money goes ridiculously far here.

the islands in thailand are all different. phuket is party central. koh samui is chill. koh phi phi is stunning. each one has its own personality. pick based on your vibe.

chaing mai is completely different from the islands. no beaches. but temples everywhere. elephant sanctuaries. cooking classes. northern thai food is spicier and more flavorful than the south.

Thailand travel

bangkok is chaos and i love it. street food. temples. rooftop bars. the grand palace. chatuchak market. its overwhelming in the best way. tuk tuks will scam you but thats part of the experience.

thai food is the best in the world fight me. pad thai. tom yum. green curry. mango sticky rice. street food is better than restaurants. follow where locals eat.

one thing i learned traveling is that the best stuff is unplanned. getting lost. taking wrong turns. saying yes to random invitations. thats where the magic happens.

Thailand travel

if someone asks me should i go to Thailand my answer is always yes. always. even if the timing isnt perfect. even if you dont have enough money. figure it out. you wont regret it.

the locals are what make it special. every shopkeeper wants to chat. every chai wallah has a story. these random encounters are what you remember years later not the hotels or the restaurants.
